Facebook Giveaway Picker

Pick a random winner from the comments on a Facebook post, on a profile, Page or group. Paste the comments, pick a winner. Free, no login.

Facebook doesn't let any site read your comments without your login, so you paste them. It takes about a minute.

Paste your comments

Copy them from your post on a computer. See how

Up to 5 MB of text. It stays in this browser.

Set your rules

Your own comments are left out, and tagging you doesn't count.

Required tags

Facebook's promotion rules don't allow requiring tags, so this picker doesn't check them. See Meta's promotion rules (opens in a new tab).

Leave empty for none. Not case-sensitive.

One per line, or separated by commas.

Exclude flagged (tag-only / copied text)

Off by default. Flagged comments are marked in the table.

How to copy your Facebook comments

It takes about a minute on a computer. We never see your account.

On a computer

  1. Open the post on facebook.com in a browser on your computer.
  2. Change the comment order from 'Most relevant' to 'All comments', then click 'View more comments' until all of them show. Click 'View all replies' on any thread whose replies count.
  3. Select from the first commenter's name down to the last comment.
  4. Copy with Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on a Mac) and paste here with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V).

Tips

  • Click 'View more comments' until all comments are loaded before copying.
  • Facebook's promotion rules don't allow requiring tags, so the picker doesn't check tags on Facebook. A keyword still works.
  • 'Most relevant' can leave some comments out. Choose 'All comments' first.

On a phone

  1. The Facebook app doesn't let you select and copy many comments at once. Use a computer to get the full list.

Each platform has its own rules for giveaways. Check them before you start.

How it works

  1. Open the post on a computer, show all comments and copy them. The guide under the tool shows how.
  2. Paste them here. 'Like', 'Reply', times and badges are removed, and each comment is listed by name.
  3. Set your entry rules, such as one entry per person or a keyword.
  4. Pick your winners and share the draw link.

Questions and answers

Why do I have to paste the comments?

Comment pickers that read Facebook through Meta's API need you to be an admin of the Page that posted. Pasting needs no login and works for any post whose comments you can see.

Does it work for personal profiles and groups?

Yes. Pasting works for posts on personal profiles, Pages and groups, as long as you can see the comments.

How do I copy all comments?

On a computer, switch the comment order to 'All comments', click 'View more comments' until all are shown, and open the replies that count. Then select from the first name to the last comment and copy. The Facebook app can't copy many comments at once.

Can I require tags?

No. Facebook's promotion rules don't allow requiring tags, so this picker doesn't check them. You can still require a keyword or allow one entry per comment.

Is there a comment limit?

No. There's no cap on comments or winners. One paste can be up to 5 MB of text, and it's all handled in your browser.

Do you see my Facebook account?

No. We never log into your account or ask for a password. The comments stay in your browser and the draw runs there too.

What are Facebook's rules for giveaways?

Facebook has its own promotion rules: for example, a promotion must not require tagging or sharing, and local law applies too. Check both before you start.
