How to copy your YouTube comments
It takes about a minute on a computer. We never see your account.
On a computer
- Open the video on youtube.com in a browser on your computer.
- Scroll down below the video and keep scrolling until no more comments load. Click 'N replies' under any comment whose replies count.
- Select from the first @handle down to the last comment.
- Copy with Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on a Mac) and paste here with Ctrl+V (Cmd+V).
Tips
- Scroll until all comments are loaded before copying. YouTube loads them as you scroll.
- Replies aren't shown until you click 'N replies'. Open them first if replies count as entries.
- It's fine if the comment count, 'Sort by' or 'Add a comment...' get copied too. They're skipped.
On a phone
- The YouTube app doesn't let you select and copy many comments at once. Use a computer to get the full list.
Live chat replay
- Open the replay of the stream on a computer and click 'Show chat replay' if the chat is hidden.
- Switch the chat from 'Top chat replay' to 'Live chat replay' so every message shows, then play or scroll through the part where people entered.
- Select the messages, copy and paste them here, then pick 'YouTube live chat replay' as the parser. A saved chat replay in 'time Name: message' lines works too.
Each platform has its own rules for giveaways. Check them before you start.
How it works
- Copy the comments below your video on a computer, or the live chat replay of your stream.
- Paste them here. Times, like counts and 'Reply' are removed, and each comment is listed by @handle.
- Set your entry rules, such as a keyword for live chat or tags per comment.
- Pick your winners and share the draw link.
Questions and answers
Why do I have to paste the comments?
This page doesn't connect to YouTube at all, so there's no login and nothing to set up. You paste the comments, and everything runs in your browser.
Does it work for personal channels and live chat?
Yes. Paste comments from any video you can open, on any channel. For a stream, copy the live chat replay and choose 'YouTube live chat replay' as the parser.
How do I copy all comments?
On a computer, scroll below the video until no more comments load, and click 'N replies' where replies count. Then select from the first @handle to the last comment and copy. The YouTube app can't copy many comments at once.
Can I require tags?
Yes. Tags in YouTube comments are @handles, so they're counted. Set 'Required @mentions per comment' from 0 to 10. Only different accounts count, and tagging yourself or the host doesn't. For live chat, a keyword such as #pickme often works better.
Is there a comment limit?
No. There's no cap on comments, chat messages or winners. One paste can be up to 5 MB of text, and it's all handled in your browser.
Do you see my YouTube account?
No. We never log into your account or ask for a password. The comments stay in your browser and the draw runs there too.
What are YouTube's rules for giveaways?
YouTube has its own rules for contests, and local law applies too. Check both before you start.
